Stanley is 32 years old and lives in the town of Kibuli in the Kampala South region of Uganda. He is married and has three children with two of them currently in school. For the past five years, Stanley has been working hard to manage his poultry business. He sells chickens in the local market.

To help expand his business, Stanley has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more birds and will help Stanley to generate greater profits and improve the standard of living for his family. Stanley hopes that in the future he will be able to open up another business.

Stanley is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Stanley who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for micro-loans.
