Wilma is married with 5 grown children. She is 56 years old and lives in Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur, Philippines.
Wilma is planting coconut trees and bananas for sale. She has traded the said crops for over 20 years and made favorable returns. Her spouse works as a carpenter but his work is impermanent in nature.
At the end of every month, Wilma earns an approximate total of 5,680 PHP considering all these sources. She has requested a loan of 45,000 PHP from GDMPC to purchase fertilizers to enhance the growth of crops and for a high potential of return on investment.
Wilma is a GDMPC member, joining this year. This is her first loan transaction made in the cooperative. In the future, Wilma hopes to expand the cultivated area and raise more of these plants to gain more. She also plans to repair some portions of her house to live comfortably.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
