Fahmiya is a 46-year-old woman who is married with eight sons. Her husband is employed by the Ministry of Education with a decent salary. Fahmiya has its own project: a food stall for selling pastries and falafel, which is a Palestinian traditional dish. Fahmiya wants to purchase a new oven for baking pastries and a new machine for making falafel to improve her work. But the amount of money she has isn't enough to pay, so she needs to take a loan of $2,000 from FATEN. When Fahmiya takes the FATEN loan, which is repaid on a monthly basis, she will purchase the machine and oven to improve the quality of food she is making and to sell more food to get better income and live with her family in better living conditions. Fahmiya is photographed in her food stall.
