Hanane is a 49-year-old married woman living with her husband and two children. She is from Lebanon. She has been working as a cook since 2002. She works at her house. Her delicious prepared Lebanese food products are sold to customers from her community. She has been working hard to support her family in cooperation with her husband who used to be in the Lebanese army.
Today, she is requesting to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase a new oven in order to increase her business productivity. In the future, she would like to rent out a small space to sell merchandise, as well as selling popular home-made food products.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
