Sira Diawara Group's story

The Sira D. solidarity group was created on January 4, 2010. It consists of 32 women from the same village who mainly conduct trade.

Mrs Sokhna, standing on the far right-hand side of the photo and wearing a yellow scarf, chairs the group. She is 56 years old, widowed and has six children in her care. She is a farmer, growing and selling groundnuts. After having been in this activity since her youth she has a lot of experience. She will use her loan to buy a sufficiently large quantity of groundnut seeds for her field. Her objective is to care for her family, providing education and healthcare to her children.
