For the past three years, she has operated a stationery business, selling retail to her neighbors and passers-by. She faces a major challenge of seasonality and high transport costs in her business. She dreams of expanding her business in the future.
With this loan of 80,000 KES, she wants to purchase stationery, printing paper and pens, and repair her photocopier machine. She decided to join Kiva partner, Yehu, to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
