Guillermo Ramón has a business selling seafood. He has had this business for more than 15 years and learned the trade from his mom. He gains most customers working as an itinerant vendor and has to get ready to go out very early every morning to sell the variety of products that his customers request. He will use this loan to buy shrimp, fish, 'punches', crabs, shellfish, 'chuletas' and other seafood.

Fue por su Mama que el logro aprender este medio de vida, el obtiene más clientes de manera ambulante por lo que tiene que alistarse todos los días para salir muy temprano y ofrecer la variedad de productos que le solicitan. El crédito es para la compra de camarones, pescado, punches, jaibas, concha, chuletas entre otros mariscos.

Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth.
