Patrick is a 28-year-old married man with one child, aged 4. He has been farming in his hometown of Litein for 5 years, producing and selling tea, vegetables and milk to the local market. He gets additional income from his teaching employment. He currently employs two farmhands.
Patrick has made a loan request amounting to 50,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to fund the construction of a green house. He says he will grow tomatoes in the greenhouse and expects to get more income to purchase a pure-bred dairy cows. He adds that more farming income will help him educate his children.
Patrick laments about the lack of dairy feeds, especially during the dry seasons. He is greatful to Juhudi. This is his a second loan request after the first one of 30,000 KES.
