Juana is a long-standing client of our institution who sells vegetables wholesale. She transports seasonal vegetables from Río Abajo where she has plots of farmland. Every sowing season she orders supplies such as seeds, fertilizers, fungicides etc. When we visited her, we found Juana selling 'achojchas' (a native vegetable, similar to a cucumber), spinach, carrots, eggplants, cabbages and pumpkins from her stall in the rural market in San Pedro.

Juana will use her loan money to buy seeds and fertilizers. Her husband is a gardener and her children live independently. She has a 12-year-old granddaughter in her care. Juana is a responsible and hard-working person who is grateful to the institution for the support they have offered her.
