Narcisse is 47 years old, married and the father of 8 children aged between 5 and 20, all of whom go to school. Twenty years ago, in order to be able support his family when the production unit where he worked went bankrupt and had to close down, Narcisse started selling grilled meat at a large crossroads near the biggest market in town. He used the small amount of money he had been paid to buy a barbecue and some boxes of chicken thighs. The resulting customer demand was high and, thanks to his considerable sales, he now makes on average between 50 000 and 110 000 francs a day.
An active and enterprising man, he sells his wares every day from 6 o´clock to midnight. He manages to make some savings and uses his profits to pay for his children´s education.
