Leticia Candelaria
The communal bank "Amigas de Espoir" meets every 15 days in the beautiful city of Calceta, a city known as "Peerless Calceta" because of the beauty of its women and because, for its residents, there isn't a more beautiful city in the world.

Here lives Leticia, 18, who is in a common-law marriage which has produced a child who is 1 year and three months old. Her husband is a bus driver.

In order to help her husband with the expenses related to the baby and the home, Leticia has a business selling all types of clothing. She sells door-to-door, and also sells from her house, where the customers who know her come to shop. She works every day, but without a fixed schedule. She sells on credit to her customers, and collects every weekend. She goes to Santo Domingo to buy the merchandise every time she needs more. She has had this business for a year now, and it is going quite well.

She will use this loan to buy more merchandise such as: pants, blouses, T-shirts and children's clothing. She has been with her communal bank for 3 loan cycles, and she likes it because with the first loan she was able to start her business.

She dreams of having a stable home.
