In 2004, Juan moved to the United States from Peru. He was hired by a prominent courier company and was able to learn more about the business while maintaining strong relationships with couriers locally and around South America. By the end of 2009, Juan started his own business selling small containers of electronics to countries such as Colombia and Bolivia, as well as shipping agricultural equipment to Chile and Peru. Juan’s business began to take off as he continued requesting wholesale prices from his main distributors in order to successfully send products to his clients. The business’ profit depends on whether the product is discontinued or refurbished.
Juan will use the loan as working capital in order to buy wholesale merchandise to send to his clients in South America. The loan will give him flexibility and independence as he provides a quote for his new and existing clients.
