Mohamad is a 41-year-old married man living with his wife and three school-aged children. He is from Lebanon. He has owned a car repair shop since 1990. He is an experienced car mechanic providing his customers with the best in repair services. His job consists in fixing up car steering wheels in order to direct the vehicle in the right direction.
Today, Mohamad is asking to borrow $1500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase mechanical tools and supplies. This will be his second Kiva loan and he notes that he is planning to apply for additional loans in the future.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
