Lida's story

Lida is 42 years old and a responsible woman. She and her husband Gregorio have worked with perseverance to get ahead on behalf of their three young children, for whom they provide an education and take care of with much love. Lida and her family live in their own home in the rural district of Huaricolca. Every morning during the first few hours of the day, her husband Gregoria begins providing transportation services along the route from Tarma to Huaricolca. Meanwhile, Lida attends to her customers who constantly visit her grocery store. Not only does she sell basic necessity products, but also firewood for cooking since this product is high demand in the area. Every weekend for the past 11 years, both Lida and her husband have spent the entire day looking after their farmland on which they grow potatoes and oats. After these crops are harvested, they sell them at the central market in the city. Going forward, they plan to buy a house in the central part of the city so that they can expand their grocery business. They also want to start a well-managed guinea pig farm to generate more income, so they plan to invest more.

Lida is a member of the Communal Bank “Nueva Esperanza” (New Hope) and this is her third loan with MFP. She is very pleased to be part of her Communal Bank because all of its members are responsible individuals. For this reason, she promises to submit her payments on time. With the support she will receive, Lida plans to invest the money she requested in the purchase of natural fertilizers for her next planting of oats and potatoes of the “Yungay” and “Canchan” varieties.
