Samir is 33 years old. He is married and has one son. Samir is the sole breadwinner and his only income comes from the cultivation and sale of large livestock at the local market. Every year, he buys young heifers from the farms in adjacent villages. He raises them with the help of his wife and children and then sells the adult cows and bulls to local butchers. His monthly profit is about $250 USD. Samir would like to expand his business, as the income from his existing herd isn't enough to provide for his family. He plans to purchase additional young cattle. To do this, he needs to invest an additional 1,000 ANZ in his business.
