Hussein is a 50-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three children. He has been working as a car spare parts trader and broker since 2000 with more than 16 years of experience. His business is specialized in buying wrecked cars to gather the pieces that can be repaired in order to resell them back after fixing them up. He is thankful for his business income, but he also needs supplementary financial support to help meet his family’s requirements. Today, he is asking to borrow $600 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase more car spare parts to sell and make good profits.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
