She has the dream of some day being able to build her own home and thus offer her children something for the future. The other members have various businesses and have joined together to obtain financing in their ventures. She is requesting the loan to purchase paints, brushes, and vases among other items.

El Banco Comunal Luz De Campo es conformado por Mayra Del Rosario, Érica Del Carmen, Luz Mila, Nicolasa Danelia, Leyla Victoria, Nubia, Antonio, Anastacia Basilia, Julia Yamileth, Tomasa Del Socorro y Érica Del Carmen. Todas ellas son mujeres emprendedoras. Actualmente cuenta con 11 mujeres, con el programa y que les gustaría poder seguir con este gran proyecto. Mayra se dedica a la venta y elaboración de artesanía, desde hace más de 25 años, Ella tiene el sueño de algún día poder construir su vivienda y así ofrecerle a sus hijos algo para el futuro. Los demás integrantes tienen diferentes actividades económicas y juntos se han asociado para obtener financiamiento en sus negocios. Ella solicita el crédito para la compra de pinturas, pinceles jarrones entre otros.

Fundación Leon 2000

This loan is administered by Fundación Leon 2000. Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
