Fatuma is a married woman with seven children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past five years, she has operated a water vending business, selling from her home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces the major challenge of seasonality in her business. During the dry, hot season the availability of water for sale is lower. She dreams of expanding her business in the future to meet her customers' needs.
With the Kshs 40,000 she wants to purchase a tank for water storage. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
