Nadine is 23 years old and married. She has two children, age 2 and 5. Her business is well organized and is well known for selling sorghum in the market. Nadine is the team leader of this group, which is called "Tuzamurane" in local language.

In the picture, Nadine is a second person on the right side. Her business hours are from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. every day except Sunday, and she currently employs two people to help her. She has one year of experience in this business.

Nadine and her team have requested a Kiva loan via Vision Finance Company in order to increase their businesses by buying more products such as sorghum, beans, vegetables and so on for sale, and fields to cultivate. With any profits, they will reinvest in their businesses and save for their future. Nadine will be also able to renovate her own house.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
