Jack is a 27-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents. He has five years of experience working with mobile phones and in 2009, he opened his own shop. With his requested loan of $2000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l, he will be able to increase his merchandise selection of new mobile phones to sell. He states that both his business sales and income will increase as a result of the loan.
In the future, he is looking to further expand his business and increase his capital. This will be his second Kiva loan.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
