Laurencina
Laurencina was born in Inhambane Province in southern Mozambique. She is married and has five children; three of them go to school, and the others have started their families. Laurencina finished seventh grade and quit school because she could not afford it. She lives in her own house with her family and does not support anyone else.

She left her hometown when she got married. For more than 14 years Laurencina has been a businesswoman who buys and sells various products, and she earns about 6,000 meticais per month. She uses the money for household expenses and saves some in her bank account (at BIM).

She has never had loans from other banks, and she learned about Hluvuku through a friend who is also a customer of this institution. This is Laurencina's first Hluvuku loan. She is asking for 10,000 meticais to buy construction materials (planks, iron, cement, sand, stone, beams and other items) for building her house.

She plans to finish the house in order to make her family more comfortable, so she will ask Hluvuku for more loans.
