The couple has four children, all of whom have received schooling and are in their care. Tadagbé Augustin lives with his wife and four children. Household expenses are taken care of by the couple. In order to meet these expenses, Tadagbé Augustin learnt the trade of masonry. Alongside this, he raises pigs - an activity that he began 10 years ago. He obtains his supplies in Benin. In order to satisfy his customers and to increase his turnover and income, Tadagbé Augustin, along with the other group members, is requesting a loan for the first time.

Le groupe GMTB-DJEFFA est composé de neuf personnes qui sont des artisans et qui mènent des activités communes au Bénin. C'est la première fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de leur activité. Le représentant du groupe, du nom de Tadagbé Augustin est celui qui a la main levée sur la photo. Tadagbé est âgé de 46 ans et est mariée à une revendeuse du nom de Yvette. Le couple a quatre enfants tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Tadagbé Augustin vit ensemble avec sa femme et ses enfants. Les diverses charges de la maison sont assurées par le couple. Pour y parvenir, Tadagbé Augustin a appris la maçonnerie. A côté de cette activité Tadagbé Augustin fait l'élevage des porcs. Tadagbé Augustin mène cette activité depuis dix ans. Tadagbé Augustin s’approvisionne au Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Tadagbé Augustin sollicite, ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe GMTB-DJEFFA, un premier crédit.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
