Ali is a 36-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and four children. In 2003, he started his own business selling a variety of Lebanese bread products. His delicious goods are well enjoyed by consumers. With his requested loan of $2,000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l, he will be able to purchase a small van to help him distribute his products to customers located in different areas and villages. He intends to augment his business sales in order to gain superior income. In the future, he is planning to open his own bakery.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
