Evans is 31 years old and married to Miriam. He supports a family of six people. Evans has been doing horticultural farming for four years, earning a monthly income of KES 15,000. He has been loaned KES 40,000, which he invested in his farming activities to buy pesticides and a knapsack for spraying them.
Evans plans to use the anticipated profit from his farm to expand the irrigation scheme of his vegetables, onions and tomatoes. He has repaid his first loan and this is his second one. He hopes to become an excellent farmer in his area.
