Judith is twenty-seven-years-old, married and they have three children aged between seven years old and two years old whom she hopes to give good education to the university level. She operates a general store in which she sells such items as sugar, flour, rice, cooking oil, beverages and detergents. She has been in this business for four year and says that though the business is profitable, there are challenges of financial constraints.
Judith is using her loan of KES 40,000 to buy sugar, flour, rice, cooking oil, beverages and detergents to grow her business and meet the demand of her customers. In future she hopes to grow her business into a wholesale operation. She describes herself as humble and God-fearing.
