Heang, age 62, is a food vendor. Her husband is a motor taxi driver. Together, their income is $5 per day. They have three grown children, ages 19, 20, and 23. All of them are working in a factory at a wage of $8 per day.
Every month, Heang has to spend $118 on food, $10 on electricity, and $20 on other expenses.
Heang would like to request a loan in the amount of $400 in order to buy a fishing boat for her husband that can be used during the rainy season. This will allow the family to earn an additional income.
