The Communal Bank “Los Angeles” (The Angels) is starting its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Villa Exaltación Community Center. The group consists of eight members and is led by a Board of Directors headed by Sra. Celia. The members of the Communal Bank engage in various business activities in order to get ahead such as operating a butcher shop, knitting sweaters, managing a neighborhood store, selling vegetables, selling socks, selling turnovers, and selling livestock.

Sra. Celia says this is the first time she has worked with Pro Mujer. She joined the organization after receiving an invitation from a friend. Celia currently has a business selling meat and has been working for two years.

The loan she is now receiving will be used to buy a refrigerator for preserving meat. This piece of equipment will be purchased in the neighborhood of La Ceja and she will make room for it in her store. Working in this manner enables her to generate income to support her family. Celia is married and has three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Celia said she enjoys the health services, the loans, and the savings.

La A.C. “LOS ANGELES” iniciará su primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del centro focal Villa Exaltación, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva encabezada por la señora Celia. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: canecería, tejido de chompas, tienda de barrio, venta de verduras, venta de medias, venta de salteñas, venta de ganado.

La señora Celia, indica que es la primera ves que trabaja en Pro Mujer y que integro la institución por invitación de una amiga. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de carne que viene trabajando hace dos años.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para la compra de una heladera, para la refrigeración de la carne, este equipo lo comprará de la Ceja y lo acomodará en su tienda. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, pues ella esta casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta salud, crédito y ahorros.
