Along with other grains, which she buys, Juana sells her products from the market in Ayacucho. In addition, during certain seasons Juana sells candies and other sweets from a cart in the central square of Ayacucho.

Miluska, Maximiliana, and Juana need loans of 600, 400, and 1000 soles (3 soles = $1), which they will invest in buying, bread, flour, peas, wheat, and barley, as well as repairing their car. Each member of the community bank has an interest earning savings account and Miluska, Maximiliana and Juana plan to use their savings to build homes, or improve their businesses. They have many dreams such as improving their homes, finding a steady job, getting a masters degree, and that their children will be professionals.

Juana, Maximiliana y Miluska son socias del Banco Comunal Desarrollo.

Juana es casada, tiene 57 años y 9 hijos, Juana viaja a las diferentes ferias de la región donde compra cereales que posteriormente vende en los mercados de la ciudad de Ayacucho. Además vende golosinas de manera ambulatoria, caminando, sus ventas aumentaron. Juana obtuvo un préstamo de 1000 soles, dinero que fue invertido en la compra de maíz, trigo y cebada.

Por otro lado Maximilina es casada, tiene 41 años y 5 hijos, Maximiliana vende panes “chapla” típicos de la zona, los panes los compra por mayor de una panadería y ella vende repartiendo de tienda en tienda. Maximiliana obtuvo un préstamo de 400 soles, dinero que invirtió en la compra de panes en 200 soles y en la compra de calamina para su casa.

Mientras que Miluska después de terminar sus pagos se retiró del Banco Comunal por que su trabajo estaba fuera de la ciudad.
