The Triunfador group was started by one of the members, who lives in a neighborhood where the community bank operates. It is an excellent, dedicated group and has been participating in the program for some time.

Juana owns a small store and has many loyal customers. She is happy with her business and enjoys selling beauty products. The business provides her with enough income to cover all her living expenses. She is requesting a loan to purchase candy, whole grains, and laundry detergent, among other products. This will help her attract more customers.

El Banco Comunal grupo Triunfador, se conformó gracias a que una de las miembro quien tenía un grupo en su zona. Es un excelente grupo, el cual gracias al trabajo solidario realizado continúan trabajando con el programa hasta estos días. Juana se dedica a una pulpería, ella posee ya una buena cantidad de clientas que siempre le hacen pedidos. Ella está muy feliz con su trabajo, ya que le encanta vender productos de belleza. Su trabajo le genera buenos ingresos, con lo cual puede cubrir sus gastos. Ella solicita el crédito para la compra de golosinas, granos básicos, detergentes, entre otros, con lo cual podrá atraer a más clientes. No solamente habla por ella sino por todos los integrantes que conforman el banco comunal como Fabia Walkiria, Rosalpina, Maryuri, Heidi, Modesta De Jesús, Sofía, Carla Estela, Darling y Yaquelin.

This loan is administered by Fundación Leon 2000. Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
