Iza is from the village of Kvishilori, Imereti Region, West Georgia. She is 37 years old and lives with her 19-year-old daughter, her 18-year-old son and her 73-year-old mother-in-law. Both children are students of a high school.
Iza is leading the agricultural activities of the family. They have three cows from which Iza produces 60 kg of cheese per month and sells it on the local market. Also, the family has one pig and nine piglets. Piglets are sold locally and seasonally. Also, Iza is busy with wine-making. She makes wine by the grapes harvested from 800 family-owned vine-trees. The total average monthly income of the family, including the pension of Iza’s mother-in-law, is 680 Laris.
Iza requests credit for paying the study fees for her children at the high school. It is very important for her to allow her children to get a quality education for ensuring their sustainable future.
