David is 29 years old and from the village Kontuati, Imereti District, West Georgia. He is unmarried and lives with his family which includes his parents, a 31-year-old brother, and a 20-year-old sister. David works in a local carpentry workshop as painter. Along with his regular job, he is also involved with his family’s farm activities. His family owns three cows and David’s mother produces cheese and sells it on the open market. David’s family also grows maize and cultivates nut trees on their 1.25 hectare plot. The corn that they raise primarily goes to the dairy and they sell approximately 200 kilograms of nuts locally.

David is requesting a loan to renovate his kitchen which is old and uncomfortable. Once the renovation is complete and the kitchen is equipped with better appliances, the family will enjoy better living conditions.
