Toufaha is 45-year-old married woman living with her husband. When the life expenses exceeded the family income, Toufaha decided to start her own business to support her family. So, in 2008 she opened her own store where she started to sell women's accessories and perfumes to customers from her community. Today, she is requesting to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to increase her store’s inventory. In the future, she is willing to add more items to sell in her shop such as women's bags.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
