Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT), a partner of Kiva.org in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone, is very pleased to present to you Osman, a small-scale entrepreneur who has come to SMT/Kiva lenders to seek a loan of 3,000,000.00 Sierra Leone Leones (SLL) in order to invest in his businesses.
Osman is a wholesale businessman. He sells palm oil and peppers on a wholesale basis. He has been a professional businessman for more than 11 years now. Mr. Osman is a husband and father of six children – three in primary school and three in secondary school. Osman has requested this loan in order to buy bags of peppers for resale.

SMT began operations in 2002 as a microcredit program of the NGO Child Fund Sierra Leone under a USAID program to assist the reintegration of ex combatants back into their communities.
