Rosie is a 60-year-old married woman who has 5 adult children. She lives in Bangko, Panaon, Mis. Occ., Philippines. She has spent 20 years of her life buying and selling coconuts from her home and also in neighboring places. Approximately, she makes a monthly income of PHP 3,000.
In 2010, Rosie became an official GDMPC member. In her 4th loan cycle with the cooperative, she has requested PHP 10,000. She will use the money to buy more coconuts to sell. The more stock she has, the higher her returns. Rosie hopes to increase the selling price for coconuts in the future and to further expand the business to increase the family income.
