Acela es una madre de familia de 44 años de edad, vive con su esposo e hijos en su casa propia, cuenta con servicios sólo de luz, ubicada en el distrito de La Matanza que pertenece al departamento de Piura. Toda esta zona sus pobladores se dedican a la agricultura, ganadería y artesanía.

Acela se dedica a la elaboración, venta de chicha de jora (es una bebida rica elaborada a base de maíz y muy consumida en el norte del Perú) y crianza de aves de corral, estas actividades los realiza desde hace 2 años, ya que es una costumbre que ha pasado de generación en generación. Últimamente se ha incrementado las ventas de la chicha de jora, lo que le ha favorecido para poder incrementar sus ingresos y mejorar la calidad de vida de su familia. También comercializa aves de corral, lo que le permite ayudarse con otro ingreso.
