Dorina is a married woman with six children, three boys and three girls. She owns a house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are for electricity, water, and clothing.
For the past eight years, Dorina has operated a poultry business, selling from her home to restaurant operators and her neighbors. She faces two major challenges: seasonality and competition from other poultry operators. She dreams of establishing a wholesale business in the future.
With the loan she has requested of 40,000 Kenyan shillings (KES), she wants to purchase chicken feed and poultry medicine and expand her chicken house. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
