Mruri is a married man with four children, all of whom attend school. He lives in a rental house that neither has electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past four years, he has operated a meat goat sales business, selling at the market to his neighbours. In addition he has also operated a motorcycle business, his other source of income. He faces a major challenge of disease outbreak in his business. He dreams of expanding his business in the future.
With the Kshs 80,000 he wants to purchase more goats for resale. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
