She says that during great harvest seasons the distributors come to her fields to buy her products. what she most enjoys about her work is that she spends most of her time out in the fields. She says "I hate the bustle of the city". She invests the greater part of her earnings in her children for their future. She is thinking about expanding her agricultural land. She has various plants ready for production. She is a member of the communal bank "Desarrollando Para el Futuro de Prisma", meaning "Developing for the Future of Prisma". This is her second loan with MFP (Kiva Field Partner). She feels content for the development opportunity provided. She is committed to making her payments on time. Patricia says that the process of growing coffee plants consists of several steps to strengthen the farm land at opportune times. Patricia, de 35 años; se separó hace un año de su esposo. A pesar de su tristeza, ella continúa trabajando por sus 2 hijos: Fernando y Sandra; a los que cuida en su casa propia, ubicada en Unión Palomar (selva central peruana). Las plantitas que se observa en la fotografía, son viveros de café que se alistan para ser transplantados en las tierras productivas. La actividad a la que se dedica es la siembra de café y plátanos; en sus 3 hectáreas de terrenos propios, situados en la zona alta de su comunidad. Ya tiene 8 años de experiencia. En todo este tiempo pudo obtener ganancias seguras, pues vende sus granos en la cooperativa de Sanchirio Palomar, asimismo cuenta que en temporadas de gran cosecha los mismos intermediarios llegan a su chacra para comercializar sus cultivos íntegros. Lo que más le gusta de su trabajo es poder pasar la mayor parte de su tiempo en el campo, “odio el bullicio de la ciudad”, afirma. Por el futuro de sus hijos, pues en ellos invierte la mayor cantidad de su ganancia, está pensando incrementar la expansión de sus terrenos agrícolas; ya que tiene varias plantitas para su producción. Ella pertenece al banco comunal “desarrollando para el futuro de prisma”, y este es el segundo crédito con MFP, donde se siente contenta por la oportunidad de desarrollo que le brindan. Razón por la que se compromete en ser puntual con sus cuotas. Patricia, cuenta que el proceso de crecimiento del café; contiene varias etapas que consiste en el fortalecimiento de los cultivos en su momento oportuno.
