Fred is 43 years old and lives in the town of Zana in the Kampala Central region of Uganda. He is married and has seven children. Six of his children are currently in school. Fred has a furniture business that makes beds, which he has had for 10 years.
To help expand his business, Fred has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase lumber for making beds for resale. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Fred hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees for his children.
In the future, Fred hopes to expand his business. Fred is a member of Small Enterprise (SEP) Program, which has helped his prospects for the future by improving his standard of living.
