Gantsetseg, age 42, is a seamstress who lives with her husband and 3 children in Ulaanbaatar-the capital city of Mongolia. She makes work wear and suits and sells them at the bazaar everyday. Gantsetseg has had her own business since 1998. Sometimes she needs to hire a sewer part-time to help her in her business. Sometimes she has urgent orders and needs the capital to buy cloth and other supplies. So she is taking a loan which amounts to MNT 1.000.000 to purchase some clothing materials to increase her business production.
About Credit Mongol
Credit Mongol is the largest non-banking financial institution (NBFI) in Mongolia. Its mission is to contribute to the prosperity of Mongolians by providing high-quality, affordable and varied financial services to micro-entrepreneurs and small-to-medium-sized businesses. It prioritizes serving remote, rural populations that have typically lacked access to credit and other financial services. Uniquely, it offers solar panel loans to nomadic herders, most of whom live without electricity.
