Joyce is 54 years old, a widow with three adult children aged twenty-nine, twenty-six and twenty-three years old. She has been tea farming as her primary business and dairy keeping as her secondary business for the past three years with a monthly income of KES 12,000 which she uses to support her family.
She is applying for her third loan from KADET after repaying the previous loans successfully. She will use the loan to buy a dairy cow and fertilizer for her farm.
With the anticipated profit from the two businesses she will establish a greenhouse project. Her hope is to venture into greenhouse farming which will help her improve the living standard of her grandchildren.
