Kosar is 50 years old and does sewing and embroidery to earn money for her family. She started this business to financially support her husband who is a post office employee and also operates a milk sales business after his job.
Kosar has two sons and three daughters. Her eldest son left his education after 5th standard and started making shoes. Her elder daughter has studied till 8th and supports Kosar in her embroidery business. Her remaining children are continuing their education.
Kosar has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah, for the improvement of her husband’s milk-selling business. With the loan, he will buy another buffalo to be able to get a larger quantity of milk to sell. He is very experienced in his business and always sells pure milk to his customers at reasonable rates. Kosar is hopeful that after the loan investment his business will grow as well as his income.
