Mawar Group's story

Ni Komang lives in Pejarakan – Singaraja, North Bali. Though Ni Komang often helps her husband, she also raises pigs in her yard to supplement her family’s income.

Ni Komang is the head of the Mawar group, which is made up of 10 neighbors from the same village. This is the group’s second loan with MUK. With the Rp. 1,500,000 that Ni Komang receives, she will purchase two piglets and pig feed and to renovate the barn. She hopes that the piglets will grow healthy, which she will then be able to sell. With her earnings, she plans to purchase more pigs. With the income from her pig raising, she hopes to be able to renovate her kitchen.
