Sothy is also a garment factory worker, while her husband raises chickens to sell. Together their income is $5 a day. Every month, she must spend $50 on food, $20 on transportation, $15 on school fees, and $25 on other expenses.
Sothy is requesting a loan of $1200 to buy a cow so as to sell its calf once born. In the future, she will help her husband to raise more chickens to sell, as this career can result in a good income.
Sothy plans to send her children to study at the university when they finish high school.
