This borrower is a 65-year-old man who is married and the father of seven children. He worked at an extensive livestock farm of sheep and cows when he was young. Because of the drought long afflicting his country, he halted this type of livestock farming to practice an intensive type, which consists of fattening his animals in a pen. This business, which does well in rural areas, brings in revenues substantial enough to support his family in terms of food, healthcare, clothing, and housing.

Today, he is requesting a loan of 300,000 francs to buy two head of cattle that he is going to feed during the off-season and then sell at the local market. His ambition is to build stables to expand his livestock operations considerably.
