Georges is a 39-year-old single man from Lebanon, living with his parents and two siblings. He has owned a bus for the past four years. During the school year, he transports students from their houses to school and vice versa. And during the summer, he serves customers who ask for private transportation such as mountain trips, picnics etc.
Georges works hard and he is the only income source of the family. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to perform the needed maintenance on his bus to make it safer. In the future, he is planning to purchase a new bus.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
