Justine‘s group is comprised of three hard-working young women. Justine is 16 years old and lives in the town of Lugazi in the Kampala central region of Uganda. She is single and has no children. Justine has a business selling food, which she has had for less than one year.

To help expand her business, Justine has requested a loan of 300,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase food for resale. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Justine hopes to generate greater profits and buy food for her family. In the future, Justine hopes to become a doctor after her studies.

Justine is a member of BRAC’s Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program, which has helped her prospects for the future by improving her business.
