Mariama is 31 years old and married with one child aged 15. She runs a body cream store (cosmetics) in Tengbehtown inside Freetown. She also takes care of two relatives as well as their own family.
Mariama has owned this business for five years and sells body creams, hair products and pink oil lotion at her store. She also earns income from transportation (bike). She says that her business is doing well.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more body creams and hair products. Mariama says that the extra income from this loan will help her to educate her child and improve her standard of living. In the future, she would like to buy goods from neighboring countries.
