Iris is 30 years old and lives with her partner. She is currently a student at the National University of San Antonio Abad Cusco, where she studies accounting. In addition, she is a docent at a local Inca museum in the city of Cusco.
Iris works very hard in school and she is passionate about pursuing a career in accounting. She is asking for a 400 dollar loan in order to help pay for university. She is committed to making all of the necessary payments on time.
About Asociación Arariwa
Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru. Arariwa serves the southern Andean provinces of Peru, and is distinguished by its efforts to reach the very poor, who often live in isolated rural areas. Arariwa fosters village banking, supports savings accounts, promotes access to education, and empowers women entrepreneurs (who make up 78% of its borrowers).
