Rosa Hortencia
Rosa is a member of the “El Mirador” communal bank. She lives in the outskirts of Turi Parish, a place known for being a scenic overlook from where one can see a large portion of the city of Cuenca. Its residents are very kind, dedicated to commerce, livestock raising and agriculture.

Rosa is 35 years old, married and has two children who are 9 and 7 years of age and attend the local little school. Her husband is an artisan working in wrought iron. They do not have a house of their own; they live in her mother’s house but independently.

Rosa works at home making ceramic crafts. She learned this occupation through ability and has been in it for 12 years. She sells her items to a select clientele. She works Sunday to Sunday with no set schedule.

She’s been in the communal bank for a year and she’ll use the loan to buy some ceramic items, paint, lacquer and other materials to continue with her business. Her goal is to increase business and to grow in it.

La Señora. Rosa es socia del banco comunal El Mirador, vive por las afueras de la parroquia Turi, lugar que es reconocido por ser el mirador de la ciudad de Cuenca ya que se puede observar desde allí gran parte de la ciudad de Cuenca, su gente es muy amable, se dedican al comercio, cría de animales y agricultura.

Doña Rosa tiene 35 años, es casada y fruto de su unión conyugal ha concebido 2 hijos de 9 y 7 años de edad que estudian en una escuelita de la ciudad. Su esposo es artesano y labora en hierro forjado. No tienen casa propia por lo que viven en la casa de su mamá pero independientemente.

La Señora. Rosa trabaja en su casa en la elaboración de artesanías en cerámica, aprendió este oficio por habilidad y lleva 12 años en él, sus productos los vende a su su selecta clientela, trabaja de domingo a domingo sin un horario especifico.

En el banco comunal se encuentra hace un año y su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de piezas de cerámica, pinturas, lacas y otros materiales para continuar con su negocio.

Su meta es incrementar y crecer en su negocio.
